Paul Weiss—Point of Departure
Point of Departure features eleven original songs exploring themes of loss, missed connections, urgent goodbyes, and disasters impending and averted. The songs are character-driven, and draw from many corners of Americana, including roots, folk-rock, traditional blues, and even a little grunge, often with an unexpected twist. Paul’s music brings to mind influences such as John Hiatt, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, The Band, and Tom Waits.
